Be There Online Social Media Conference

November 7, 2011, Franklin Commons, Phoenixville, PA

Be There Online Conference is a collaborative effort created to meet a growing need to bridge the gap between bloggers wanting to be consultants and small businesses and non-profits needing help from the experts. Below are the founders of this venture:

Debbie Bookstaber is the co-founder of Bloganthropy.org and one of the bloggers behind Mamanista.com. Bloganthropy.org empowers bloggers to become philanthropic leaders in their communities. Through their annual and monthly awards, Bloganthropy recognizes bloggers who effectively use social media for social good. Debbie is the president of Element Associates where she leads online marketing, affiliate marketing and social media initiatives for her clients. An active volunteer and mom to two boys, Debbie serves on several charitable boards and was elected to a position on her local school board in 2007. Debbie graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University with a Bachelors and Masters in History.

Sarah Peppel is an adjunct communications professor at Valley Forge Christian College, teaching Writing for the Media and Communication Theory. She is also a columnist in the local paper and showed up as an extra in several major motion pictures in the area. Since getting her Masters of Science with a specialty in Urban Economic Development, she has accrued over 20 years of experience in marketing, event planning, fundraising and public speaking. She has also been an active blogger in numerous brand-related promotions and was recently featured on Fox 29 News as a “mom blogger” who makes money through the use of social media. Her main blogs are GenesisMoments.com and DIYFrugal.com
