Be There Online Social Media Conference

November 7, 2011, Franklin Commons, Phoenixville, PA

Realty Track will be run by Julie Pron and Kelly Whalen of JustCentsible Consulting in the Conference Room of Franklin Commons.

Realtors are busy people, running from here to there, always working to catch the next big thing. How can we add social media into the mix without losing our focus? How and why should we make the time? What are the best practices for practicing social media?

Social media consultants Julie Meyers Pron, who has been working in the various areas of the Real Estate field since 1987, and Kelly Whalen, who is a respected voice in the personal finance community and who has worked with a variety of financial institutions, will introduce Social Media marketing in the Real Estate field in this 4 hour workshop, as a part of Be There Online.

Session 1: What is social media and why do I want to do it? Why blog when I have a website? Why do I need to tweet, Facebook, Pin AND use a location based app? We will discuss answers to these questions and explore
various areas of social media for Realtors, realtor-specific social media applications and discuss Google, SEO and the important elements of a website for online success.

Session 2:  Basics of Social Networking: Using twitter, facebook and location based apps for marketing and market research. We will share and discuss ways to gain followers, activities to excite and engage your followers and "games" people play when networking through the social web for ultimate marketing results. In addition, Social Networks are excellent sources for Market Research. The second half of this session will explore applications that can be used for market research by Real Estate professionals.

Session 3: Your website is just the facade: The website is a beautiful picture of you, but inside, just like a home, your blog is where the action happens. Learn ways to use your blog to find new customers, share exciting news, and make your information easily accessible for your current and future clients.

Session 4: Going above and beyond in Social Media: Learn additional areas to shine through social networking.  Consider this an advanced class that will introduce you to applications and online resources such as Pinterest, Stumble Upon, digg, and more. We’ll share ways that using these websites will enhance your marketability and your place in the Real Estate marketplace.
